This is not a fish oil.

Each softgel provides 1200 mg flaxseed oil. Nature's Bounty lists the typical fatty acid profile as 540 mg alpha-linolenic acid, 132 mg linoleic acid, 132 mg oleic acid, and 60 mg other fatty acids. That makes the product a plant-based ALA source, not a direct EPA and DHA supplement.

ALA is a legitimate omega-3 fatty acid. The issue is that the body has to convert it into longer-chain omega-3s, and that conversion is limited. For someone specifically trying to raise EPA and DHA intake, this is a less direct choice than a fish oil or algae oil product.

The trust profile is acceptable. The label is clear, the serving size is simple, and the product states that the flaxseed oil is solvent free. It also avoids fish, soy, gluten, wheat, yeast, milk, lactose, sugar, starch, artificial flavor, and artificial sweetener. Still, the page does not present a strong third-party potency or purity certification signal.

The formulation is basic. Flaxseed oil, gelatin, vegetable glycerin, and natural caramel color. That is ordinary for a softgel and does not add much design quality beyond delivering the oil.

This can make sense for someone who wants a plant-based ALA softgel. It is much less compelling if the goal is the usual fish oil outcome: a clear EPA and DHA dose with strong third-party testing.
